Our Story

What started as a dream between a mother and son has quickly grown into a program built on love, dedication, and a true passion for raising exceptional Bernedoodles.

While Southern Magnolia Bernedoodles is a newer name, our experience is not. Through years of hands-on learning and mentorship, we built a strong foundation in ethical breeding, puppy development, and raising healthy, happy companions. Today, we are proud to continue that passion through our own family-focused program built on health, temperament, and lifelong support for our puppy families. Over the past five to six years, we have worked closely alongside a trusted breeder friend, gaining hands-on experience in everything from genetics and temperament to puppy raising, socialization, and responsible breeding practices.

Today, we are proud to continue that passion with our own carefully planned program focused on quality over quantity. Every litter is raised inside our home where puppies are surrounded by daily family life, love, and constant interaction from the very beginning. We strongly believe that the early weeks of a puppy’s life shape their confidence, temperament, and ability to transition smoothly into their forever homes.

We currently have two amazing moms in our program:

• Skylar – our beautiful AKC Small Standard Brown Merle Poodle and the mama of our mini Bernedoodle program.
• Molly – our sweet Standard F1 Bernedoodle who brings an incredible temperament, intelligence, and loving personality to her puppies.

Our wonderful dad, Max, is an F1BB Standard Bernedoodle from Skylar’s very first litter. Max has an outstanding personality, beautiful structure, and a calm, affectionate nature that we absolutely adore.

We have also recently added a very special girl to our program named Irish. Irish is an F1BB Mini Bernedoodle from Skylar’s most recent mini litter. She is a gorgeous chocolate girl with an incredibly sweet personality, and we are so excited to watch her grow and eventually become part of our future program.

At our home, puppies are never raised in kennels or isolated environments. They are raised indoors right alongside us as part of the family. From the moment they are born, we spend intentional one-on-one time with each puppy every single day. We focus heavily on early neurological stimulation, hands-on socialization, confidence building, and gentle exposure to everyday household sights and sounds.

Our puppies begin early crate introduction and potty training before they ever leave for their new homes. We work hard to give every puppy a strong foundation that helps make the transition easier for both the puppy and their future family. By the time they go home, our puppies are already familiar with routines, human interaction, handling, and the beginning stages of house manners.

We pride ourselves on taking our time with each litter and truly getting to know every puppy individually. Because of this, we intentionally keep our program small and personal so each puppy receives the attention, care, and socialization they deserve.

Above all, our goal is to raise healthy, loving, family-oriented companions with wonderful temperaments and beautiful personalities. We are incredibly thankful for every family that trusts us with one of our puppies and becomes part of our extended Bernedoodle family.
